Engagement Sessions

All Engagement sessions include:

• 20-minute quick call to plan the logistics, expectations, and ideas for your engagement shoot. Following this is a quick contract to sign for the details, locations, and which package you want.

• One location for a 120 minute session

• All payments must be paid in full before we shoot

• Online Gallery of Photos to download with watermark for social media

• All full resolution images, prints, wall art, and guest-signing albums may be purchased for an additional fee

How does this all work?

We talk, we determine if this is a great fit working together (or not), and we get into the details. We will have a beautiful time building our relationship, our timeline, and our team effort of a beautiful photo gallery for you to keep for the rest of your life!

The more we can be open and transparent about expectations, the better! If you aren’t feeling like the traditional way of doing things is really you, or you have specific preferences, let’s talk about it!

If I can be the biggest advocate for everything you need/ want for your day, just remember, I will be with you at your side the entire time.

Trusting the process - you are hiring a highly-rated professional who has done this wedding photography thing hundreds of times over a long stretch of time! If you have any questions, or if your family needs to reach out to me, I’m all ears! No question is too small or insignificant.

The most important thing is that you feel seen, heard, and supported to have a smooth day and captured it beautifully with a photographer who truly looks out for your best interest!

when do i make payments & when will i see my full gallery of photos?

All photography sessions require 50% non-refundable payment to secure the date. You must pay this immediately upon contract signing to move forward. Checks, Cash, or Zelle services are accepted.

First of all, I am known for an exclusive immediate reveal of 10 images sent just 48 hours as a sneak peek!

For the rest of your gallery, there will be approximately 100 images per capture hour delivered that are hand-selected and lightly touched up. You will see these come in your email inbox with a link to your online gallery after 90 business days.

After your wedding date, the remainder of the payment is due within 10 days.

Like my tasting and venue visits, do I get a trial?

I’d highly recommend that you include an engagement session as your wedding photography “trial” - they are not only extremely adventurous, exciting, and the best way to get familiar with having your photo taken before your wedding day. Together, we will master your posing, your familiarity with both your photographers and the camera for all the best warm & fuzzies!

Of course! Let’s talk about this on the phone without your partner if you’d like to surprise them!

how long have you been a photographer?

I’ve been shooting photos since I was 10 years old, but began my first wedding in August of 2009. I have worked with hundreds of couples from Chicago to San Diego … and worldwide as a destination wedding photographer if you decide you just want to fly to the islands and skip the large wedding.

what else do you offer?

For the past few years, I’ve been so involved in my couple’s planning process. I create invitations, Save the Date magnets and stationary, guest signs/ boards, and table numbers, and provide prints from the engagement shoot for the bridal showers and wedding decor.

You can feel extra supported by having me at your fingertips to text any wedding-related questions to- even if it has nothing to do with photography- I was also a bride, too, and went through this entire process before!

Just as another idea, you may want to consider creating a guest signing book out of your engagement photos to have as a beautiful keepsake that includes a durable, high-quality album to save your friends and family’s best wishes, along with your lovely photos!

Raw photos

Would you be overwhelmed to pay 100% for a 5-star meal when going out to eat and just get handed a lump of ingredients- without the full experience? This is what happens with a RAW photograph, it needs to be processed and exported properly for the proper output.

I do not provide unedited, raw photographs as digital files. This is NOT my final product and I do not offer this in my service. As advice to you, this is more of a pain for you than you think to get access to full RAW images straight from the camera.

If you are looking for something or have specific edits- just ask! I don’t bite.

what if i want wall art and more prints and what are the prices?

I’m glad you asked! Dana Frames believes in preserving your memories and experiencing their value beyond the screen. Let’s do an in-home consultation or an in-person meeting to explore my album samples! I have a projector screen to show you what your prints will look like on the wall of your home. You can also order directly from your online gallery and here are some of the prices for prints (not included in packages).

I’ll then ask you for your commitment to working together and we can begin the contract and deposit process, and begin to put the meetings on the calendar for our planning sessions.
